Clinics and Services
We currently provide a range of services. Please call reception on 01708 202621 to ask for more details.
Cervical Smears
Women aged between 24 and 64 should have a cervical screening every 3 to 5 years to help prevent cervical cancer. The screening is quick and painless and can be done here in the practice.
If you are aged over 24 and have never had a smear test, or if it has been more than 3 to 5 years since your last screening, you should arrange an appointment with our Practice Nurse. You should not have the test while you are having a period or in the 4 days before or after your period as this can affect the sample.
Appointment may be booked with a Practice Nurse.
Flu Vaccinations
Each year, in early October, we begin our Flu campaign. We invite patients who are over 65 and those with certain conditions to attend for a vaccination.
Foreign Travel for Registered Patients
Practice nurses are happy to help you with medical aspects of overseas travel: documentation, immunisations, protection against malaria and medical advice. Please check with the nurses about charges for other vaccines.
GP Requested X-Rays
If your GP has requested an X-ray scan, please contact Queen's Hospital on 01708 435369 to arrange a time and date and they will tell you whether or not to come to the clinic for your X-ray or else where. If you have booked your X-ray to be done at the polyclinic then simply bring your X-ray form along with you for your appointment and speak to one of the reception staff. If you have not pre-booked your appointment your X-ray will not be performed.
Registered GP Service
Patients can choose to become a registered patient at the clinic as long as they live in our catchment area. As a registered patient you will have access to the full range of GP services. If you have any questions or wish to register feel free to visit the clinic or call to speak to one of the reception team, or visit our registration page.
Stop Smoking
Assistance with stopping smoking is available.
